FAQ’s

Do you require a meet & greet?

Yes. I require a complimentary meet & greet before accepting any first-time booking. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, and ensures your dog is happy and comfortable in my home.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. The Harrogate Dog Suite is fully licensed by North Yorkshire Council and fully insured. I also am trained in Canine First Aid, giving you peace of mind while your dog is staying with us.

How many dogs do you board at once?

I care for a maximum of four dogs at any one time, allowing me to provide plenty of individual attention in a calm, home-from-home environment.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your dog’s food, lead, harness or collar.

Are walks included?

Yes. Every overnight and full-day stay includes a complimentary 60-minute on-lead local walk with Sharon.

Can you administer medication?

Yes. I am happy to administer tablets and most oral medications as part of your dog’s normal routine at no extra charge. Unfortunately, I am unable to administer injectable medications. If your dog has any medical requirements, please let me know before booking so I can confirm I am the right fit for your dog’s needs.

Are dogs allowed on the furniture?

Yes! Every guest is made to feel as relaxed and comfortable as they do at home. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and are treated as part of the family throughout their stay.

If your dog is used to sleeping on the bed at home, I am also happy to discuss this with you during your meet & greet so we can maintain their usual routine wherever possible.

Will I receive updates during my dog’s stay?

Absolutely! I love keeping owners updated and regularly send photos and videos so you can see how much fun your dog is having.

Do you accept all dogs?

I welcome friendly, sociable dogs that are comfortable around people and other dogs. At this time, I am unable to accept unneutered dogs or dogs with behavioural issues that may affect the safety or wellbeing of other guests.

Do dogs need to be up to date with vaccinations and flea and worm treatment?

Yes. To help keep all of our guests healthy and comfortable, we ask that dogs are kept up to date with their vaccinations and on a suitable flea and worm treatment before their stay.
